Bespoke, made-to-measure blinds for London homes.

While blinds are known for being practical – they take up less space and offer many useful functions such as blackout, privacy, UV protection and thermal properties – our made-to-measure blinds can also bring a dramatic and bold note to your styling.

Whether you are going for a pared-down minimal look or something more luxurious, we’ll give you the confidence to bring your vision to life.

Perfectly styled, made-to-measure blinds could be the solution to a tricky window.

‘With made-to-measure blinds, people are often surprised by how far we’ve come in terms of style options.’

‘Katherine has gorgeous taste and ideas and is a pleasure to work with…’

We love what we do: guiding you towards making choices that feel right for you and that we know will result in blinds that will bring joy for years to come.

We love how made-to-measure blinds can super-stylishly solve problems around privacy or black-out where curtains may not work. Blinds also often play a support role alongside curtains, offering privacy and UV protection during the day when the curtains are open.

What are bespoke blinds?

Bespoke blinds are window blinds designed and made to measure for your exact window dimensions, fabric choice and light-control needs, rather than bought in a standard size. Every Katherine Brown blind is measured, designed, made and fitted by Katherine and her team, so it suits both the window and the room around it.

Your guide to blinds

Roman Blinds

Roman blinds are created using fabric, with vertical strings and horizontal rods, allowing the blind to be raised in folds like a concertina. Add decorative pulls, trims and shaped bottoms to add interest.

London Blinds

A variation on the Roman blind is the London blind, which gives a slightly softer look as the blind has more fullness, which blouses out as the blind is raised.

Roller Blinds

Roller blinds can be used alone or with other window dressings and are often used behind curtains and Roman blinds to give additional blackout properties or daytime privacy.

Venetian Blinds

Stylish horizontal slatted wooden blinds are often used at ground level to achieve a traditional look which maintains a degree of privacy even when open.

Skylight Blinds

We are a Velux blinds stockist and can also source skylight blinds suitable for other makes of skylight windows. We also offer manual and motorised flat roof light blinds.

Motorised Blinds

Motorised blinds are an excellent option for large or difficult-to-reach windows. Don’t forget that they can now be voice-controlled as part of your smart home set-up.

Bespoke blinds: your questions answered

Are made to measure blinds worth it?

Yes, if fit and finish matter to you. Made to measure blinds are cut to your window's exact dimensions, in the fabric and lining you choose, and fitted by hand. Standard sizes rarely sit well on period windows, and a well-made blind will keep working, and looking right, for many years.

Which blinds are best for blackout?

A blackout roller blind with a small pelmet above it is often the neatest solution, because even a roller lets a little light in above the top. A Roman blind with blackout lining also works well, though it will always let a little light in at the sides. For the fullest blackout, layer a blind behind curtains. See our blackout blinds FAQ for more.

Which blinds work best with curtains?

Sheer roller blinds and Roman blinds are often fitted behind curtains to give daytime privacy and UV protection while keeping the light. A blackout roller behind curtains on a pole also solves light coming in over the top. See our roller blinds page for how it works.

How much do bespoke blinds cost?

It depends on the size of the window, the fabric you choose, and the lining and fitting involved. Roller blinds use less fabric and have a simpler construction, so they are usually the most accessible option. Our guide to curtain and blind cost factors explains what shapes the price.

What blind styles are in for 2026?

Trims, embroidered and block-printed fabrics, warm neutrals and decorative pelmets are all having a moment, as part of a wider shift towards fully dressed windows with layers of detail. Read Katherine’s 2026 curtain and blind trends for her full verdict.
