We love how made-to-measure blinds can super-stylishly solve problems around privacy or black-out where curtains may not work. Blinds also often play a support role alongside curtains, offering privacy and UV protection during the day when the curtains are open.
Bespoke blinds are window blinds designed and made to measure for your exact window dimensions, fabric choice and light-control needs, rather than bought in a standard size. Yes, if fit and finish matter to you. Made to measure blinds are cut to your window's exact dimensions, in the fabric and lining you choose, and fitted by hand. Standard sizes rarely sit well on period windows, and a well-made blind will keep working, and looking right, for many years.
A blackout roller blind with a small pelmet above it is often the neatest solution, because even a roller lets a little light in above the top. A Roman blind with blackout lining also works well, though it will always let a little light in at the sides. For the fullest blackout, layer a blind behind curtains.
